Steph and Ross booked their Mill Barns wedding, when they found me through a recommendation from a family member (Thanks Tracy!) and I am so glad that they booked me to be their Mill Barns wedding photographer thanks guys it was an absolute pleasure to capture your day!

Getting ready for a Mill Barns Wedding
Steph chose to get ready for her big day at Mill Barns. The venue has a beautifully designed basement room perfect for a bride and her bridal party to get ready in. It is surrounded by mirrors, and lots of space ideal for getting ready in. It doesn’t have any natural light, which is fine by me as I love to used off camera flash to get creative! Mill Barns Wedding suppliers
It is always great to work with different hair stylists and make-up artists. My approach to photographing them is to take a documentary style approach as I don’t want to bother them as I know how important their job is! I was excited to work again with one of the best hair stylists around, Tracy from ‘I Do Hair and Make up’. She is so talented and a joy to work with! If you want to check out her work I can highly recommend Tracy and her team! There are so many great Mill Barns wedding suppliers, and I recommend asking their staff for a list of their recommended suppliers to make sure you are going to get the best people to help on your big day, if you are choosing to get married at Mill Barns.
Mill Barns Wedding decorations
When I first arrived at Mill Barns, I was blown away by the decorations and when Steph told me that she had done it all herself I could not believe it! The whole places was just so beautiful and an absolute pleasure to photograph. Steph had done it all, from the wooden handmade signs to the epic reception table decorations and the ceremony room decorations she did it all from the petals on the floor to the high dry flowers that were used it was just beautiful and I was so happy to be photographing the set up before I went downstairs. Steph has said that she wants to possibly set up her own wedding decoration company and if her wedding is anything to go by, I think she will do really well and I wish her all the best!
A Mill Barns Wedding ceremony
The ceremony was held in the beautifully lit room at Mill Barns, and as everyone gathered I could see the excitement begin to build. Russ had got ready at home, so I briefly met Ross before the ceremony and managed to get some shots of him and his groomsmen. As soon it was time for the big moment where Steph her dad entered the room and the beaming smiles on Steph’s face and I could see how emotional Ross was.
I really enjoyed being the mill barns wedding photographer for this ceremony because the registrars were just so chilled and so welcoming. I was able to stand in my favourite spot and one of the highlights for me was that Steph during her decorating of the room had placed some candles inside some glass holders on the table and I was able to quietly bend down and get some really nice creative photos by shooting through them. This ceremony was a beautiful moment and I was really pleased to be a part of it.

Being a Mill Barns wedding photographer, is just a pleasure because there are so many creative opportunities. There are so many places where I’ve been before here that just work so I always like to try an add a little creativity to every one of my Mill Barns Weddings. One example. is at the back of the reception room there is a beautiful wall with high wooden beams and I really love to get creative with some silhouette shots which you’ll see below here. The rest of the day was brilliant and here are some snippets from a little couple shoot that I did with Steph and Ross, just before the evening celebrations began. It was such a great day from start to finish and I remember driving home big smiles on my face because I was just so pleased to have been a part of this day and I really wish Steph and Ross all the best, and thank you again for hiring me to be your Mill Barns wedding photographer, it was an absolute pleasure!
