Bridal preparations. Top tips
Getting ready in the morning of your wedding is such a special moment and is a great opportunity to have some awesome images taken of you and your bridal party! Here are my top tips for bridal preparations. These are tried and tested tips which work everytime and will help to make your morning run like a breeze!
Tip 1 - Free up that space!
Ok, so tidying is the last thing you may want to think about when getting ready for one of the biggest moments of your life! But, thinking about keeping the space you are getting ready in tidy, is so important to get those clean and lovely photos. A messy room is ok, but it isn't as pleasing on the eyes! So this tip is a great one to take on board...Free up that space!
Tip 2 - It is all in the details
To get the best detail shots, of your dress, shoes, jewellery etc, try to remember to have them ready at least an hour before you are going to get into your dress so that you have the opportunity to have some epic detail shots!
Tip 3 - Go towards the light!
Window light is just perfect for getting ready. Most make up artists will always look for the best lighting to do your make up. I am the same, I love natural light and if I can access it the photos I can produce are simply stunning! I understand that sometimes you can't access window light, and that's ok because I use off camera flash to compensate so don't worry if natural light is limited. I share this as a tip because window light is always the preferred option!
Tip 4 - Create a mood board
Another great tip is for you to use Pinterest or Google to look for any images you love the look of! Collect them all together and then email them over to me. This is a great way to help me get ready for your pre bridal shoot as I will know what you are thinking and the style of images you like.
Tip 5 - Get creative!
I love being a Creative Wedding Photographer as I am always looking at ways to create awesome shots during prep time, the more fun we can have, the less stressed everyone is, and we all enjoy the process more! Not too much posing, let's just take the shots and get ready for your big moment! Leave the creativity to me, its what I do best!
Worcestershire and West Midlands
Of course, I would not be able to do my job as well without the amazing talented suppliers I work alongside. As a Worcestershire Wedding Photographer, I work with so many talented hair and make-up artists out there, too many to mention! Here are three of my favourite I have worked with during the past few years. I highly recommend each of these as quality suppliers for you to consider for your wedding preparations!
