The History of Hampton Manor

Hampton Manor, located in the heart of the English countryside, Warwickshire, Warwickshire, is a historic wedding venue with a rich past. The manor is erected on land gifted by King Henry VIII to Sir John Spencer, who was himself knighted at the skirmish of Pinkie in 1547. The manor we see today replaced the median building in 1855, commissioned by Sir Frederick Peel, son of the renowned British Prime Minister Sir Robert Peel. Designed by eminent architect Joseph Aloysius Hansom, the manor showcases the neo-Gothic style prevalent in the Victorian era. In 1903, Frederick Peel’s son, William, sold the property to William Blyth a local industrialist. Blyth transferred the property to Warwickshire County Council in 1934. Post-Second World War, it operated as a hospital, a police training center, and an old people’s home, symbolizing its historic significance in the local community. In 2004, the manor underwent an enormous transformation when the Hill family stepped in, restoring and revamping its structure. Today, Hampton Manor has not only preserved its historical essence but also adapted to modern elegance, making it a top wedding venue. Its award-winning dining services, luxuriously designed rooms and breath-taking landscapes offer a fairy-tale setting for nuptial ceremonies, making it a favourite choice among couples seeking a romantic and historic ambiance for their special day.
